cute shoes at bargain basement prices…..

Ok….I LOVE high fashion and anything couture…..BUT,  sometimes (actually, most of the time) I just can’t afford to pay the ridiculous prices that a lot of things I like have!  So, I have to make do somehow!  And, that is why I absolutely adore Downtown LA…..aside from its smell or the fact that it gets dangerous after 5pm.  But, aside from risking your life, the shopping is AWESOME!!!!

I was there over the weekend because where else can you buy yourself a complete head-to-toe outfit under $100?! If you know of other places, do share.  I love bargain shopping!  Anyway, this weekend I came across some killer shoes by a cheap-o brand called Promise.  It’s comparable to Anne Michelle, Wild Diva, Bamboo, etc.   I wanted them so badly, but forced myself not to buy them……and now I just spent 3 hours online trying to find them so that I can finally buy them because I just can’t take it anymore…I know, I’m such an idiot.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the ones I was looking for….HOWEVER, I did come across these 2 sites, Urban Original and Shoe Ocean, that sold all these shoes in the picture above for under $40.  Seriously, all these shoes are all under $40!!!  I know, I know….They probably will hurt your feet, will make them sweat and stink…..but at least you’ll be a hot stinky mess that only spent $40!

These ones were the ones I thought were the best, and you should probably stick to the color black when it comes to buying inexpensive shoes….it hides the inconsistencies better ;)

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed rummaging through these sites and finding a few pairs that I wanted.  I’m sure you’ll have a blast looking through them too!

gotta love flea markets!

I LOVE flea markets!  Not only can you find stuff nobody else will have, you find it for dirt cheap!  I went perusing a few weekends ago and found some killer deals.

First, I came across these handmade custom steel cuffs by a brand called California Raw Steel.  Not only was the guy who made them super cool, his stuff was incredible.  And, the best part was the price.  I got mine for only $30 bucks!  And, the moment I got it, I got non-stop compliments.  He had mentioned that some stores carried his cuffs and they marked up the prices to over $300!!  So, if you want one, go to the flea market on Fairfax and Melrose on Sunday’s if you want to get one of these cool cuffs for under$100.  The ranges in price for the cuffs were $25-$150.

Another great thing you can find…..leather boots.  Over-the-knee leather boots, to be exact.  I know it’s summer time, but I had been looking all over the place for a pair of over-the-knee black leather flat boots forever, but to no avail.  At least, not any within my budget of under $100.  Well, guess where I found some for $55?  That’s right.  The Fairfax flea market.  Now, I’m prepared for Fall :)

Gotta love bargain shopping.  Oh yeah….you can find hot men there, too ;)

Check out my digs!

Snakeskin creeps back into style

If you’re a snake, you might want to consider slithering under a rock and staying there for another decade or so. It’s not safe out there for you anymore. The snakeskin trend has been resurrected from the 80s, and is back in full force! Luckily, most of what we’re seeing are actually printed or embossed patterns, so that’s good for everyone. And the truth is, there’s no way I could afford the real thing anyway.
